Sample response

The human condition is plurality. Only by speaking and acting before others do we bring a new beginning — natality — into the world. Evil, more often than not, is not monstrous; it grows from the thoughtless banality of one who has stopped thinking. Ask whether you have surrendered your thinking to necessity, to the labor of the day, or to the mood in the air. You still have the power to interrupt the given course and to begin.

Voice: Lucid and political; opens a private trouble onto responsibility and the public world.

Safety: So as not to weigh the public realm too heavily, preserve the need for private recovery as well.
